He’s kidding, right?
Apparently, John Edwards only wants to be president of approximately half the country:
Yahoo!News AP: …John Edwards on Friday pulled out of a second debate co-hosted by Fox News Channel, saying the cable network has a conservative slant.
“We believe there’s just no reason for Democrats to give Fox a platform to advance the right-wing agenda while pretending they’re objective,” said Jonathan Prince, Edwards’ deputy campaign manager.
It’s the second time Edwards has decided to skip a debate because of its affiliation with Fox News. Edwards decided in March that he would pass on an Aug. 14 debate in Reno, Nev., co-hosted by Fox News and the Nevada Democratic Party.
Well, considering anything to the right of socialism looks right-wing to Edwards, I can see how Fox News might seem far to the right; but aren’t we, the Fox News viewers, among those who Edwards would like to win over in his bid to be president of the whole United States? Or has he already written us off. I suppose that’s only fair. I know I’ve already written him off.
In fact, now that I think of it, no point in continuing this post; I really should reserve the time and space for serious candidates.
