What gives Barney Frank, Andrew Cuomo and all of these other windbags the right to demand the names of the AIG execs who received bonuses. Who cares if we don’t like the fact that they got these bonuses, what law did they break? Did they have a contract that promised them a bonus? Did they fulfill their end of the bargain? Yes and yes. So what gives any of us the right to interfere with that?
It’s frankly none of our business who got these bonuses. If you want to go after the company for the money, fine, but even that is not very logical since money is fungible. How do we even know which money is going where? Take back the $165m and do what, spend it on research into the mating ritual of the jackass.
Want to subpoena someone.. how about Dodd? How about Frank? How about Geithner?
The Democrats, and some Republicans, are turning this whole thing into a class war. Make too much money, we will confiscate it. Even heard one Democrat, not sure if she is a senator or representative, say she wishes she could tax them 1,000 percent. What the hell is that?
How dare they knowingly disregard the US Constitution to attempt to pass a law to retroactively take back the bonuses.
How dare they, with Barney Frank and Gary Ackerman leading the way, dismiss concerns for the safety of these American citizens and demand that their names be released to the public.
How dare they stand before congress, one after the other, and call these AIG execs despicable, scum, disgraceful simply because they accepted money they were entitled to under the contract they signed.
How dare all of these hypocrites complain when not one of them is turning back their salary, not one of them is declining the pay raise they just received, the vast majority of them are accepting taxpayer money for wasteful pet projects, and some of them even accepted money directly from AIG. Have they done anything to earn a raise?
You know what I find disgusting? Our “leaders” in congress, our president and politicians like Cuomo who are purposefully trying to divide this country to further their own agenda.
