Can you imagine, just for a moment, the screams from the left if George Bush were to have spent an hour on Leno’s couch during the economic crises at the end of his term, yucking it up and making jokes about the Secret Service and the Special Olympics.
Pelosi would be screaming for impeachment hearings to start immediately, an apology would fall far short and nothing less than a public flogging would suffice.
Certainly KP Obama is getting some grief from the right, but nothing close to what we would be hearing from the MSM, Hollywood, Congress, the ACLU, and just about every other tool of the radical left.
You know I’m right….

I dunno. I always figured if he wasn’t in Washington he wasn’t screwing anything up. But then, I’m a leftie.
True enough… that goes for all of our “leaders”. And I’ve read your blog.. don’t think your as leftie as you think
I’m betting your thinking is somewhat like mine, except coming from a different angle (correct me if I am mistaken):
– the prime objective of most of our “leaders” is to keep their jobs
– there are true believers on the extreme left and right who might even sacrifice their job for their ideological agenda
– there are more than a handful who are corrupt but useful to the true believers who provide them air cover
– and there may be a few who are really there to serve this country
Normally, that’s not so dangerous because there is balance. Now, the balance has shifted too far in one direction and, worse, the leadership is held by the extreme within the majority. There have been times in the past when one party, usually the Democrats in my lifetime, held large majorities, but the extreme elements of the party did not hold the leadership positions (for example, the days of Tip O’Neil)… what we have now is frankly scary.
Thanks for dropping in… always welcome here
That about sums it up I think. Actually, I consider myself more moderate, but it depends odn how pissed I am on any given day.
