Thinkin’bout Stuff

OK… maybe no sex, and the videotape is more like YouTube video, but the lies certainly are the real deal.

It takes some real street hubris to stand before the American people and accuse opponents of health care “reform” of spreading lies and distortions moments before lying to the American people, but President Obama is the right guy for the job.

For example, at yesterday’s “town hall”, after imploring folks to keep the debate focused on stuff that is real, President Obama either made stuff up or outright lied about:

• AARP endorsing the health care “reform” proposal currently being debated

• Accused doctors of limiting care to patients with diabetes because there’s no real money in it, opting instead to wait for an opportunity to amputate their feet for a big payoff of $30k or more… also a figure he pulled out of thin air (interesting since amputations are usually done by surgeons, no?  So the doctor treating the diabetes somehow gets a cut of the money from the surgeon?  A little kick-back action going on here?  Some criminal activity that can be stopped by health care “reform”?  Why isn’t the AMA screaming about these accusations?

• He has never been a supporter of a single payer plan

Another thing to be aware of and keep an eye out for… when you hear Pelosi, Dingle, etc. point to the “mob” and claim that the opponents of health care “reform” are part of a far right fringe element, consider that this may actually be part of the plan to squelch or marginalize the opposition.  Case in point, this video which claims to show a Democrat operative posing as an anti-Obama anti-health care “reform” protester carrying a poster of Obama with a Hitler-like mustache:

The bottom line here?  While we remain either a center-right or center-left country, depending on your perspective, our leaders (Obama, Reid, Pelosi) are on the extreme left and will do anything to exploit the current “majority” to push their agenda, including lies, distortions, set-ups and flat out making stuff up on the fly.

What we need to do is tell our representatives, most of whom are not on the extreme, that we expect them to stand up for us and resist the agenda of extremist leaders of the Democrat party or we WILL vote them out.
