So the president wants to require people to have health insurance in the same way people are required to have auto insurance.
Interesting… so whether I want health insurance or not, I HAVE to pay for it? I don’t HAVE to have auto insurance. People who don’t have a driver’s license don’t HAVE to buy auto insurance. What’s the opt-out for health insurance… if we don’t have a pulse we can opt out?
Not an accurate analogy and not a good idea, unless you happen to like the idea of the government FORCING you to buy health insurance. Where does the authority, under the US Constitution, come from to do this… please enlighten us.
Oh… and if all we need to do to make this whole thing work without increasing the deficit is to get rid of waste, how about getting rid of the waste first and then we’ll discuss what to do with the new found money.
