About us? Hmmm.. multiple personalities… better get that checked.
No Party affiliation, independent thinker with somewhat strong opinions on just about everything.
OK.. some folks have suggested I should add a bit more info. So for those who are interested, read on.
Although I’ve never been a registered Republican and was a registered Democrat until the early 90’s, I have always been somewhat “conservative” socially, fiscally and in the area of defense. I was still in college when Reagan whooped Carter and actually roomed with a very liberal friend who also happened to be a genius. Proof positive that being a genius does not prove you really get it, he was convinced the world would end in a nuclear war when Reagan was elected.
I actually had a double victory that election: my candidate for president won AND I won a bet with my roommate that got me out of kitchen duty at our fraternity for a week.
I graduated with a degree in computer science and a minor in communications focusing in the area of journalism. This blog is the closest I’ve come to actually writing anything more involved than a memo.
I left the Democrat Party when I realized that there really was no room in the big tent for conservatives and that the party had moved so far to the left, JFK and RFK would be considered right wing nuts by many of today’s Democrats if they were to really exam their record and compare it to the positions held by liberals and conservatives today.
I will probably never join the Republican Party, (just doesn’t feel right), but have all but given up hope for the Democrat Party, so I guess I will be an “independent” for the foreseeable future.
This blog is a vent for me and hopefully a source of information or a catalyst for thought for others.
